The Skill Points (SP) is a special statistic that shows us how skilled and consistent a player is.
We look at many things to calculate SP, using a complex formula that examines a player's overall performance in their SnookerQ career to assign them a skill score.
You can find the SP in the bio window under the "STATS" tab:
Your SP progress depends on your current SP score. If you have 30 SP and score 3 breaks of 30 in your next 5 frames, your SP will increase slightly. However, if you have 180 SP and score 3 breaks of 30 in your next 5 frames, your SP may stay the same or slightly decrease. The higher your SP, the more challenging it is to maintain or improve.
In a nutshell:
The main purpose of the SP stat is to help us arrange some tournaments according to players' abilities. It allows us to create competitions where less skilled players have an opportunity to win prizes.
This is because the SP calculation requires a sufficient number of frames to be played. You need to play at least 50 frames for an accurate skill score to appear in your bio.
